How to…
Before you ship
Floral care:
Once you get home with your florals, hang them upside down in a dark room with little to no draft. This will ensure that they dry in a nice shape instead of wilting!
*For wedding florals, if you plan on leaving for your honeymoon soon after your wedding, or will not be returning home immediately after your wedding, be sure to assign someone to “flower duty” before your wedding. Send them these instructions so they know how best to care for your florals!
Shipping instructions
What you’ll need:
2 plastic grocery bags
4 paper towels
Bubble wrap or other packing materials
1 box - There is no specific size requirement as long as there is enough space for your packing materials to evenly cushion the florals - at least 2-3 inches of space around the florals. The smaller the box, the lower the shipping costs will be!
Steps:
Wrap your dried florals with paper towels carefully, not too tight. Just tight enough to gently blanket the florals in a cocoon-like shape.
Gently wrap the two grocery bags over the florals to ensure the florals are cushioned and encased in the bags. I recommend 2 bags for extra cushion, but you are more than welcome to add as many grocery bags as you wish! The more cushion, the better!
Add the bubble wrap and/or other packing materials (like packing peanuts). Create a 2-3 inch layer on the bottom of the box to start!
Place your florals in the box and add your packing materials all around them and on top of them. Fill the whole box, all the way to the opening, and make sure your florals are supported on all sides. This will ensure that your florals do not move during shipping!
Seal the box and send them my way! Address your package to 241 Anderson Street, Blountville, TN 37617.
Aftercare
Once you receive your pressed and framed florals, be sure to hang or place them out of direct sunlight! Sunlight can cause them to fade and change the colors.
